Whether you're an adult living with chronic pain, recovering from a neurological event, or a parent watching your teen struggle — there may be more possible than you've been told. The Anat Baniel Method® works with your brain's own capacity to change.
Back pain, neck pain, and persistent discomfort that conventional approaches haven't resolved.
Stroke recovery, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological challenges.
Helping adolescents with ADHD, learning differences, and attention challenges.
Body-based support for adolescents experiencing anxiety, stress, and overwhelm.
Many adults and adolescents with ASD experience significant movement and sensory processing challenges. ABM™ NeuroMovement® sessions support nervous system regulation, body awareness, and self-directed learning — meeting each person exactly where they are.
Restoring ease, balance, and vitality for adults at any age. The brain's capacity to learn doesn't expire.
The Process
Sessions are gentle, quiet, and deeply attentive. No force. No pain. Just intelligent, curious movement — guided by your nervous system's own wisdom.
We start with a 20-minute call — no pressure, no commitment. You share what you're experiencing; I share what may be possible.
Fully clothed, on a comfortable padded table. Through gentle guided movement, your nervous system begins to notice new possibilities.
Each session builds on the last. Most clients notice shifts within the first few visits — ease, clarity, and freedom that carry into daily life.

For Adults · Brooklyn NYC
ABM™ NeuroMovement® for chronic pain, neurological conditions, injury recovery, and healthy aging — in Brooklyn, New York City.
Many adults come to me after years of trying — physical therapy, medications, surgeries, alternative treatments — only to be told that what they're experiencing is something they'll have to live with. The Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® offers a different path.
Rather than targeting muscles or joints in isolation, ABM™ NeuroMovement® works with your nervous system as a whole — helping the brain discover new movement patterns that reduce pain, restore function, and improve quality of life.
Chronic pain is often the brain holding onto old movement patterns — not purely a structural problem. Through mindful movement, we help your nervous system find new ways, reducing pain and restoring ease.
After a stroke, the brain is primed to learn and rebuild. ABM™ NeuroMovement® works powerfully alongside or after traditional rehabilitation — helping the brain find new pathways, improve motor control, and restore independence.
NeuroMovement® can meaningfully improve quality of life — helping with movement initiation, balance, coordination, and reducing the sense of disconnection many people with Parkinson's experience.
Old injuries leave their mark on the nervous system long after tissue has healed. If you're still experiencing limitation or compensation patterns from a past injury, ABM™ NeuroMovement® sessions can help the brain update its movement map.
The brain's ability to learn doesn't expire with age. Many clients in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond experience remarkable improvements in how they move, feel, and live.
Sessions are gentle, quiet, and deeply attentive. You'll lie on a comfortable padded table, fully clothed. Using precise, gentle touch or carefully guided verbal cues, I invite your nervous system to pay attention in new ways — finding ease and possibility where there was once tension.
No force. No pain. No pushing through discomfort.
Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes. I'm based in Brooklyn and also offer virtual sessions.
For Adolescents · Brooklyn NYC
Gentle, brain-based movement therapy for adolescents in Brooklyn with ADHD, anxiety, learning differences, and stress.
Watching your adolescent struggle — with anxiety that won't shake, attention challenges that make school a daily battle, or a sense of disconnection from their own body — is one of the most difficult experiences a parent can face.
The Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® offers a gentle, brain-based approach that addresses the root of the struggle, not just the symptoms.
ADHD isn't just about focus — it's about how the brain organizes itself. ABM™ NeuroMovement® sessions help teens develop greater self-awareness, improve their brain's organizational capacity, and access a sense of calm engagement that makes learning more accessible.
Teen anxiety often lives in the body as much as the mind. ABM™ NeuroMovement® sessions help the nervous system downregulate, teaching teens what it feels like to be calm, grounded, and in control — from the inside out.
Whether your teen struggles with reading, processing, or coordination, ABM™ works by expanding the brain's capacity to differentiate and integrate — often unlocking breakthroughs where traditional approaches have stalled.
The pressures on teens today are immense. ABM™ NeuroMovement® sessions give adolescents body awareness and self-regulation tools that help them navigate stress more effectively.
I know it can feel vulnerable to try something new, especially when your teen has already been through a lot. My sessions are gentle, completely non-invasive, and always guided by what feels comfortable for your teen. I work at their pace, creating a space that feels safe and free of judgment.
I'm happy to speak with you before booking a session to answer any questions and help you decide if ABM™ NeuroMovement® sessions are a good fit for your family.
The Method · Science & Practice
A brain-based approach to movement, learning, and healing — rooted in the science of neuroplasticity.
The Anat Baniel Method® (ABM™) NeuroMovement® is an innovative, science-based approach developed by Anat Baniel — rooted in the brain's remarkable ability to change and reorganize throughout life, known as neuroplasticity.
Unlike conventional therapies that focus on stretching, strengthening, or manipulating the body, ABM™ works with the brain's learning mechanisms. The goal isn't to force the body into a "correct" position — it's to help the nervous system discover more effective, efficient, and comfortable ways of moving and being.
Every movement you make is controlled by your brain. When we experience pain, injury, neurological change, or developmental challenges, the brain often creates compensatory patterns that become deeply ingrained over time.
ABM™ NeuroMovement® uses gentle, mindful movement sequences to "wake up" the brain's attention. When the brain pays close attention to subtle sensations and differences, it begins to reorganize — creating new neural pathways and releasing old patterns that no longer serve you. This is neuroplasticity in action.
ABM™ NeuroMovement® shares some roots with the Feldenkrais Method, but has evolved into its own distinct approach with its own principles, training, and practice. It is not physical therapy, chiropractic, or massage — though it complements all of these beautifully.
The key difference: ABM™ works primarily through the brain's learning capacity. Sessions are gentle enough for someone in acute pain or with significant neurological challenges, yet powerful enough to create lasting change.
Anat Baniel identified nine core conditions that wake up the brain's capacity to learn and change — from movement with attention, to the power of slowness, imagination, and joy. These principles guide every session I offer.
